The African Development Bank Group adopted its Procurement Policy for Bank Group Funded Operations in October 2015, together with the Methodology for Implementation and the Operations Procurement Manual. It introduced fit-for-purpose procurement, allowing the use of a borrower’s own procurement system where assessed acceptable, alongside the Bank’s methods and procedures.
